Parliamentarian chairman visits Cuban Embassy in Monrovia
The Honorable Mr. Foday E.K. Fahnbulleh, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Liberian Senate, paid a visit to the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.
Mr. Fahnbulleh discussed Liberia's economic and investment attraction policies and the priorities identified by the Committee for South-South cooperation, particularly joint efforts between the two countries.
Interview between the Cuban Ambassador and the President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate:
The Honorable and Excellency Ms. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, President Pro Tempore of the Senate of Liberia, received the Cuban Ambassador, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, at her headquarters.
The Cuban diplomat congratulated Liberia on its election as a non-permanent member of the Security Council and elaborated on the unjust harm caused by the illegal U.S. blockade against the Cuban people.
Freedom Party Leader Receives Cuban Ambassador
The Chairman of the Liberian Freedom Party, Honorable Mac Della Cooper, received Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles.
Ms. Cooper, who serves as Presidential Advisor at the Executive Mansion, welcomed the Ambassador to the presidential residence and expressed the solidarity and support of her party, the Liberian people, and the government for Cuba's struggle against the U.S. blockade.
Cuban Culture Festival Held in Liberia.
On October 20, the Cuban Embassy opened its doors to Liberian friends and the diplomatic corps present in Monrovia, showcasing the artwork of Damaris Hasselhuber, guayabera shirts, Cuban music and audiovisuals, an exhibition on Cuban workers, the nation's heroes and martyrs, science, sports, and numerous other items related to Cuban art.
In addition to singing the National Anthem, attendees paid tribute to the birth of Armando Hart Davalos, Abelardo Estorino, and the cultural institutions created by the Cuban Revolution.
