Speaker of the Liberian Parliament Receives Cuban Ambassador

The Honorable Richard Nagbe Koon, Professor, Liberian Member of Parliament, and Speaker of the Liberian Parliament, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, in Monrovia.

The Cuban Ambassador presented the Speaker with a report detailing the impact of the U.S. blockade on the Cuban people. She also outlined the Cuban government's statements in favor of peace, against U.S. military intervention in the region, and its condemnation of the genocide in Palestine.

Cuban Ambassador Attends Opening of Health Clinic run by Graduates of Cuban Medical Schools

In the city of Paynesville, several graduates of Cuban medical schools, along with their families and friends, decided to open a low-cost community health clinic where nearby communities can receive first aid.

Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles visited the clinic and conveyed to the residents her satisfaction with the collective effort and the unity of the young graduates, who, trained in Cuba, are ready to serve their people.

Liberian Senate member visits Cuban Embassy.

Senator Gbehzohngar Milton Findley arrived at the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia on a visit to strengthen bilateral ties, assess the potential for cooperation, and reiterate the common ground between both developing and third-world countries.

Honorable Findley recalled the ties between the two countries, particularly the actions undertaken during his tenure as Foreign Ministry official in Monrovia.

Cuban Ambassador attends a popular workshop on transitional justice, peace, and national reunification.

Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Argüelles was invited by the Association of Survivors of the Massacres of the Liberian Civil War to the second grassroots workshop on transitional justice.

Speaking at the event, the Cuban diplomat praised the efforts to restore and preserve peace in Liberia, recalled the integrity of human rights, reiterated Cuba's willingness to support the development of African peoples, and condemned the aggressions Cuba has been subjected to by state terrorism sponsored by Yankee imperialism.

Superintendent of Grand Bassa county visits Cuban Embassy in Monrovia

The Superintendent of Grand Bassa county, Honorable Mr. Karyou Johnson, in reciprocation of the visit of Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles, paid a courtesy meeting to the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.

Honorable Johnson reiterated the Liberian people's support for sovereignty and self-determination as the basis for his country's vote against the U.S. blockade of Cuba, and outlined the areas of development in his county that could potentially be the subject of bilateral cooperation.
