Cuban Head of Mission invited to the 71st Anniversary of the University of Liberia.
Monrovia, February 21, 2022 - At the invitation of the President of the University of Liberia, Professor Dr. Julius J.S. Nelson, Jr., the Cuban Head of Mission in the African country Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated in the celebration of the 71st Anniversary of the main state university of that nation and one of the oldest in West Africa.
The academic event framed within the celebration of Liberia's Bicentennial was attended by national and international speakers who had studied at the prestigious university.

Monrovia, February 18, 2022 - In the morning hours, the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia by the Assistant Minister for American Affairs, Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, with whom she held a cordial and friendly meeting.
During the exchange, the two diplomats discussed bilateral and multilateral issues of common interest.

Monrovia, February 17, 2022. - In the heat of events taking place during the celebration of the Bicentennial of the founding of Liberia, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera held a friendly meeting with the President of the University of Liberia Prof. Dr. Julius J. S. Nelson, Jr.
During the meeting, both parties ratified their willingness to work towards strengthening bilateral relations in the field of education.
43rd Anniversary of "Monrovia Day" celebrated in Liberia.
Monrovia, February 16, 2022. - Accepting the invitation of the Mayor's Office of the Liberian capital, the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera attended the celebration of the "Monrovia Day", which has been taking place for 43 years.
During the event, the Mayor of the City of Monrovia Hon. Jefferson Tamba Koijee delivered his message on the state of the capital city highlighting the progress and challenges for the year under review, and also presented his program plans and prospects for the coming year.
