Monrovia, March 13, 2022.- Sixty five years have passed since March 13, 1957, when a group of young students and workers stormed the Radio Reloj radio station and the Presidential Palace in Havana, in a courageous and audacious act to put an end to the tyranny of Fulgencio Batista.
In this combative action, the young student leader José Antonio Echeverría, leader of the Revolutionary Student Directorate, was assassinated.

Martínez Herrera participated, together with members of the diplomatic corps and parliamentarians of the African country, in the Opening Ceremony of the First Extraordinary Session of the ECOWAS Parliament for the year 2022.
The event took place at the Ministerial Complex in Monrovia, capital of the Republic of Liberia.
