The Embassy of Cuba in Colombia received information -whose credibility could not be assessed- in relation to an alleged military attack by the Oriental War Front of the ELN that would take place in the course of the next few days in Bogotá.
Cuban Head of Mission in Monrovia participates in opening training ceremony for Liberian foreign service officials.
Monrovia, February 12, 2021.- With the participation of members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Liberia, the opening ceremony of training for Liberian officials who will serve abroad took place.
Representing Cuba at the ceremony was the Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.
The African Union condemns the continuation of the blockade against Cuba.
Addis Abeba, February 7, 2021. For the twelfth consecutive time, the Assembly of the African Union, made up of the Heads of State and Government of Africa, approved the “Resolution on the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the Republic of Cuba for the United States of America ”.
The text expresses deep concern about the continuity of the blockade and expresses its full support for the Resolution that the UN General Assembly passes each year on the subject.

Monrovia, February 2, 2021 - The Head of Mission of the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia, Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, was received Wednesday at the Liberian Foreign Ministry by the Assistant to the Liberian Foreign Minister for American Affairs, Honorable Maxwell P. Vah.
The occasion was propitious to review important issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda, aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations.
