The Philippines-Cuba Friendship Association denounces US imposition of its Helms-Burton Act (1996) on Cuba as a Gross Violation of International Law and Cuba’s Sovereignty.
Cuba participates in 4th international conference on tropical medicine
Kuala Lumpur, February 24- The Director of the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Pedro Kouri, Prof. Manuel Romero and the Deputy Director, Dr Jorge Fraga at the international conference on tropical medicine and infectious diseases that takes place in Kuala Lumpur from April 23 to 25.
Dr. Fraga, gave the conference "Infectious diseases in Cuba and their management" that provided the public with updated information and aroused great interest.
Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia talks with Parliamentarians of the country
Kuala Lumpur, March 26 - Invited by YB. Wong Chen, President of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba in the Parliament of Malaysia, the Cuban Ambassador in that country, Ibete Fernandez held a talk on the health system in Cuba.
The occasion was propitious to inform parliamentarians and the students in attendance on the recent approval of the new Constitution and Cuba-United States relations.
Malaysian media highlights achievements of Cuban women on occasion of March 8
Kuala Lumpur, March 15 - The national news agency of Malaysia, Bernama, published an interview with the Cuban ambassador, Ibete Fernández Hernández, on the occasion of March 8.
The publication reflected the contribution of Cuban women to the development of the country since the triumph of the Revolution and what the government has done to empower it. The high rates of education and social participation attracted the attention of the public that had access to the interview through social networks.
Cuban ministry of culture recognizes Malaysian philanthropist
Kuala Lumpur, March 15 - Deputy Minister Kenelma Carvajal presented a recognition to Dato Vincent Sim, Malaysian philanthropist for his contribution to the promotion of Cuban culture in Malaysia.
Dato Vincent Sim for 16 years allowed the participation of Cuban artists of the plastic in Art Expo Malaysia, the fair that directs and organizes and that is the largest and most prestigious in Southeast Asia. Dato Vincent is also a member of the Malaysian friendship association with Cuba.
