Cuban deputy minister of culture concludes visit to Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, marzo 15- The deputy minister of culture, Kenelma Carvajal concluded her visit to Malaysia after participating in the 8th summit of the International Federation of the Councils of Arts and Culture (IFACCA) that took place in this Southeast Asian country , from 10 to 14 March.

Within the framework of the event, the Cuban delegation fulfilled a tight program of activities that included meetings with the executive director of IFACCA, Magdalena Moreno; participation in various workshops, visits to heritage sites such as Malacca and bilateral meetings.

Cuba and Malaysia explore new possibilities for collaboration

Kuala Lumpur, February 27 - The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, paid a courtesy call to the Chief  Executive Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation (SME Corporation), Mr. Noor Azmi Mar Said.

During the meeting Mr. Azmi explained about his organization's work to contribute to the growth of the Malaysian economy. The ambassador thanked the information and expressed the interest of Cuba to learn more about the Malaysian experience in that sector, for which Mr Azmi expressed his availability.

Kuala Lumpur, February 25 - Invited by the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Latin American Studies Center of the National University of Malaysia (UKM), the Cuban Ambassador in that country, Ibete Fernández Hernández, deliver a lecture entitled "Bolívar in Martí and the Cuban Revolution".

The conference referred to the validity of José Martí's ideals in the current context and from a historical perspective, to the influence of Simón Bolívar's thinking on our national hero mainly in terms of the unity of Latin America.

Cuba calls on international community to prevent aggression against Venezuela

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 (Bernama) -- Cuba has called on the international community to mobilise to prevent any aggression against the Venezuelan government of President Nicolas Maduro.

In a statement released by the Cuban embassy in Malaysia here today, the Caribbean island nation also called on the governments and the peoples of the world to defend peace in Venezuela.

Cuban biological product gets licensed for marketing in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, February 21 - The Malaysian company RCS Agri Supplies, obtained the license for the commercialization of the biolarvicide Bactivec, becoming the first Cuban biological product with a presence in this country.

Likewise, the Ministry of Health approved the execution of a pilot project in identified zones of the capital that will allow demonstrating the effectiveness of Bactivec in the fight against vectors against mosquitoes and other transmitters of tropical diseases.
