General secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong, sent a message of congratulations to the first secretary of the Communist Party and president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, for his election as the top party leader of the Caribbean country and also for the success of the VIII National Congress of the political force.
Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez congratulated his counterpart from Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, through a message on celebrating the National Holiday of that country on Tuesday.
Similarly, Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla conveyed his cordial congratulations to his Uzbek counterpart, Abdulaziz Kamilov, and confirmed his willingness to continue developing the friendship ties between the two countries.
The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, will participate in the Online Summit entitled "We stand together against COVID-19", convened by Azerbaijan in its capacity as Chair of the Non-Aligned Movement, in the format of a Contact Group, which comprises representatives from various regions making up the Movement.
The event, which will be held via videoconference on Monday, 4 May at 7 a.m. (Cuban local time), will be chaired by Azerbaijan´s President, Ilham Aliyev.

On occasion of the devastating effects of the magnitude 7 earthquake, which affected the island of Lombok, Nusa Tengara, Indonesia, on August 5, the president of the Councils of State and of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent a message of condolences on behalf of the Cuban people and government, to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, which he extended to the families of the victims.
Cuba´s National Assembly of People`s Power unanimously approved Saturday the proposal of new members of the island´s Council of Ministers.
The suggestion of the membership of the top executive organ was made by the president of the Council of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.
The new Council is made up of 34 members, among them 8 women, and is age average is 60 years
