Cuba and Namibia consolidate diplomatic relations
Ambassador Sergio Vigoa de la Uz paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of International Relations and Trade, H.E. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, in which they agreed to develop economic collaboration at the level of political and diplomatic relations.
During the meeting, the diplomat expressed his gratitude for Namibia's continued support of the Cuban people in the regional and international arena, its rejection of the United States' economic, commercial, and financial blockade against Cuba, and its inclusion on the list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism.
Successful Visit to Namibia by Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz
The member of the Political Bureau and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz arrived in Namibia to attend the inauguration ceremony of new President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, an event that coincided with the celebrations for the country's 35th anniversary of independence and the establishment of diplomatic relations, which took place on March 21, 1990.

Namibia was going through difficult days, in full national mourning that month of February 2024, after the death of the third President of the Republic, Dr. Hage G. Geingob. The entire country was saying goodbye to one of its most illustrious sons. Windhoek brought together numerous personalities from the African nation and international leaders who accompanied the Namibian people in those moments of posthumous homage to the deceased president.
