Meeting with the Minister of Culture and Heritage.

Wellington, April 10, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba to New Zealand, Luis Ernesto Morejón Rodríguez, held a meeting with the Minister of Culture and Heritage, Paul Goldsmith. They discussed various issues of common interest in the cultural field and explored opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

Both parties expressed their interest in promoting greater exchange between artists, musicians, and other cultural professionals. The aim is to enrich their respective artistic and cultural scenes.

Visit to Palmerston North City

16 de abril de 2024.- During his visit to Palmerston North, Cuban Ambassador Luis Ernesto Morejón Rodríguez met with Grant Smith, Mayor of Palmerston North, where they ratified their mutual willingness to contribute to strengthening bilateral ties.

The occasion was an opportunity to visit and hold exchanges with the directors of the Manawatu Multicultural Center, the Fonterra Research and Development Center, the Riddet Institute, and Massey University.

The Ambassador of Cuba paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Parliament of New Zealand.

Despite the distance, relations between our countries are of long standing and are marked by a deep commitment to peace, justice, international security, among other pillars of sustainable development.

On February 7, our countries celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
