Wellington, March 28. The staff of our Embassy discussed at its headquarters the project of the Family Code, which will later be submitted to a referendum in Cuba.
Several interventions highlighted the inclusive and modern nature of the document, which generated favorable opinions from all participants.
This process, which takes place in all Cuban diplomatic missions, complements the extensive debates taking place throughout Cuba.
Cubans residing outside the island can give opinions through an easily accessible application.

Wellington, March 25. In an informal meeting at the Embassy of Cuba, the Ambassadors of the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC) and their partners welcomed the new representatives from Brazil, H.E. Marcos Arbizu de Souza, and from Peru, H.E. José Bustinza.
We were joined by the Mayor of Wellington, H.W Andy Foster, and his wife Ann, who have been excellent hosts to the entire diplomatic corps.
In a friendly atmosphere, we exchanged ideas to jointly promote our relations with New Zealand.
The Diplomatic Corps team wins the Friendship Football Cup.
Wellington, March 20. The Diplomatic Corps team won the Football Friendship Cup, beating the Wellington City Council team, led by Mayor Andy Foster. The Ambassador of Cuba, Edgardo Valdés, received the trophy on behalf of the winners.
With this victory, the representatives of the Diplomatic Corps maintained their unbeaten record in these friendly events. We thank everyone for a great game and a beautiful morning of fun and friendship.
Cuba ratifies support for peace and the Charter of the United Nations.
Havana. March 8. President Miguel Diaz-Canel affirmed that "Cuba firmly and consistently defends International Law, the Charter of the United Nations and the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, which was signed by the Heads of State and Government in Havana, in 2014.
He added that "We will continue to advocate for a serious, constructive and realistic diplomatic solution to the current crisis in Europe, by peaceful means that guarantee the security and sovereignty of all."
The Embassy of Cuba in New Zealand resumes activities.
