Nigeria, July 10, 2022. The platform of the Nigerian Movement of Solidarity with Cuba issued an official note highlighting the joy of the Cuban people celebrating the first anniversary of the victory against the destabilizing plans organized by the United States on July 11, 2021.

In his statements, the unconditional support of the Solidarity Movement for the Cuban people and its Revolution stands out. Once again, the end of the genocidal blockade, implemented by the Yankee government, was demanded.

Cuban Foreign Minister sends condolences on the death of Mohammad Barkindo.

Nigeria, July 7, 2022. The member of the Political Bureau of the Party and Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, sent, through Twitter, heartfelt condolences to the Nigerian people and government for the sudden death of the director general of the Organization of Exporting Countries of Oil (OPEC), Mohammad Barkindo, this Tuesday, at the age of 63.

News of his death came just hours after a meeting in Abuja with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who had highlighted his work at OPEC.

Cuba and Bayelsa sign Memorandum of Understanding.

Nigeria, July 6, 2022. The government of Bayelsa, an important Nigerian state, and the BioCubaFarma Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday aimed at establishing a long-term biopharmaceutical alliance for the co-production of vaccines and other drugs.

On behalf of the Nigerian delegation, the Bayelsa Health Commissioner, Pabara Newton Igwele, signed the MoU, and on behalf of the Cuban biopharmaceutical conglomerate, its first vice president, Mayda Mauri Pérez.

Cuban Ambassador in Abuja receives a Nigerian delegation that participated in BioHabana 2022.

Nigeria, June 30, 2022. The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, received at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Abuja, representatives of a Nigerian delegation that visited the Caribbean island to participate in the Scientific Conference International BioHabana 2022, which was held from April 25 to 29, at the Palace of Conventions in the Cuban capital.

Cuba and the Bayelsa State strengthen their friendship ties.

Nigeria, June 28, 2022.- The Cuban ambassador to this country, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, and the Governor of the Nigerian state of Bayelsa, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, held a friendly meeting, as part of the preparations to start an official visit to the Caribbean Island.
