Cuba joined the celebrations of India on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of its independence. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, extended a sincere message of congratulations on behalf of the Cuban government and people to Her Excellency Mrs. Droupadi Murmu, President of the Republic of India. While Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz also congratulated the Prime Minister, His Excellency Mr. Narendra Modi, to whom he reiterated the bonds of friendship and cooperation in areas of common interest. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs also conveyed his congratulations to His Excellency Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, by underlining the highly appreciation for the historic and friendly character that has distinguished relations between both countries and the satisfaction with the progress that the bilateral ties have made in various areas.
