Alejandro Simancas Marin, Cuban Ambassador to Bhutan, resident in New Delhi; and Major General Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan in this city; celebrated the eleventh anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The diplomats highlighted the good relations between Cuba and Bhutan, based on respect, dialogue and cooperation; as well as the will to continue strengthening these ties established on September 26, 2011. They recalled the meeting between the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and the then King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, when the latter traveled to Havana on the occasion of his participation in the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement.
