Lebanon congratulates Cuba's victory over the blockade in the UNGA
The president of the WAFA Party, Dr. Ahmed Alwan, was received by the Cuban head of mission Jorge León Cruz, to whom he expressed his congratulations on Cuba's great victory at the UN General Assembly by obtaining the vote of 185 nations of the world condemning and demanding the end of the blockade imposed by the US on the Caribbean island for more than 6 decades.
Dr. Alwan appreciated the explanations received on the impact and negative consequences of the blockade and the updates he was given on the development and achievements of Cuba and its noble social project to ensure justice with all and for the good of all.
During the meeting various issues related to the objectives and tasks of the WAFA Party and its national, regional and international projections were discussed.
Mr. Ali Uzair, member of the Political Bureau and Mr. Khamis Halawani, Head of International Relations of the WAFA Party were present at the meeting.
