Presence of Martí's ideas in the Cubans daily actions.

Nassau, January 25th, 2023. The Cuban ambassador to the Bahamas, Julio César González Marchante, accompanied by José Reinel García Sánchez and Dr. Danixia Novoa Sotomayor, heads of the Cuban educational and health collaboration respectively, received the Bahamian students accompanied by their relatives who will study at Cuban universities in the 2023 academic year, as a result of the selection process carried out to grant them free scholarships offered by Cuba.

The officials of the Cuban mission in the Bahamas offered the students an update on the country and particularly the characteristics and achievements of its education and health systems.

The young people selected and their families expressed their gratitude and satisfaction to the Cuban government and people for such a noble gesture of solidarity and humanism that will allow them to be professionals in their future.

Dozens of Bahamian students have graduated in Cuba as a result of this free scholarship program.

When commemorating the 170th Anniversary of the birth of José Martí, we can proudly reaffirm that Cuba puts into practice the Apostle's ideas "We seek solidarity not as an end but as a means to ensure that our America fulfills its universal mission."
