The Lebanese Communist Party ratifies its support for Cuba in the struggle against the blockade
The Secretary General of the Lebanese Communist Party (PCL), Hanna Ghareb, received the Cuban chief of mission, Jorge León Cruz, at the party's headquarters in Beirut and held a fraternal meeting where they confirmed the solidarity and support in the struggle of the Cuban people against the blockade.
The Cuban diplomat gave an update on Cuba's progress with the implementation of the economic guidelines approved at the National Conference and the 8th Congress of the PCC and expressed his gratitude for the traditional support of the PCL to the Cuban people in confronting the intensification of the blockade imposed by the US against Cuba for more than 6 decades.
For his part, the party leader highlighted the example that Cuba represents for the peoples of the world for its principled positions in defense of just causes and offered an overview of the recognized and meritorious political activity that the PCL carries out in the current conditions.
During the meeting, the excellent links existing between the PCC and the PCL were reviewed and the prospects for future mutually beneficial exchanges of party experiences were positively assessed.
