Lebanon and Cuba advocate strengthening their cultural ties.
The head of mission. Jorge León Cruz, was received by Mohamad Mortada, Minister of Culture of Lebanon, to whom he delivered an invitation from his Cuban counterpart to participate in the Meeting of Ministers of Culture of the G-77 plus China, to be held in Havana in the framework of the First International Congress on Cultural Heritage, between May 3 and 5 of this year.
The meeting of Ministers of Culture will be held on May 4, 2023 under the theme "Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development", a propitious occasion to evaluate proposals aimed at consolidating culture as a public good that contributes to cultural development and better management of cultural heritage for the benefit of the peoples.
Both parties agreed on the importance of deepening the coordination and celebration of cultural events and noted the interest and willingness to continue deepening mutually beneficial ties between Cuba and Lebanon.
