Port of Spain, March 26, 2023. A delegation from the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), chaired by Lilia Zamora Rodríguez, Director of Latin America and the Caribbean of that institute, visited Trinidad and Tobago from March 23 to 25.
During these days, the delegation held meetings with leaders of social, union, student organizations, the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) and the Trinidad & Tobago Friends of Cuba Solidarity Association (TTFC) that contributed to the strengthening of links with these organizations.
In the sustained exchanges, the rejection of the US blockade against Cuba was reiterated, as well as the incorporation of our country by the US, in the spurious list of countries that supposedly support terrorism. The union organizations also thanked the extended invitation to participate in the celebrations in Cuba for International Workers' Day.
