Members of the Indian Parliament express friendship towards Cuba.

A group of about fifteen members of the Indian Parliament participated in a friendship meeting held at the residence of the Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, which was a pretext to celebrate the National Rebellion Day in Cuba, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of July 26. The group was composed of deputies from both legislative chambers and different political denominations, among whom the chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, P. P. Chaudhary, was prominent.

The Cuban Ambassador welcomed them and ratified the will to strengthen the historical ties of friendship, collaboration, dialogue and respect with India. He also informed them about the formation of the tenth legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power, and especially about the formation of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with India in this body, chaired by Deputy Raydel Montesino Perurena, who in turn serves as Rector of the University of Informatics Sciences.

The Indian deputies reaffirmed the feeling of friendship towards Cuba and the willingness to work from the Indian Parliament and the states represented by each one in favor of the relations between both countries.
