Indonesia, May 23, 2017. A delegation from the Parliamentary Friendship Group Indonesia-Cuba led by the Group's Coordinator, Daryatmo Mardiyanto, will visit Havana from May 22 to 26, during which they will exchange with his counterparts from the National Assembly of People's Power and officials of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, among other institutions. The delegation will also visit centers of interest.
The delegation is made up of around a dozen members of the Friendship Group and another of officials from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and other entrepreneurs mainly from the agricultural sector. Since middle of 2016, this is the third visit to our country of a parliamentary delegation and the second from the House of Representatives. In June last year Zulkifli Hasan, chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly, led a delegation to the island and later in December, Fadli Zon, Vice-President of the House of Representatives did the same.
The purpose of the visit is to continue the exchanges, to strengthen the parliamentary relations and to identify concrete projects that can be developed and contribute to the progress in economic, trade and cooperation links.
