Celebrated in Indonesia the 60th Anniversary of Cuban Revolution

Jakarta, January 21nd  – The 60th Anniversary of Cuban Revolution was celebrated in Indonesia this January 11th with a reception presided by  Mr. Hanif  Dhakiri, Minister of Manpower on behalf of Indonesian government and Nirsia Castro Guevara Ambassador of Republic of Cuba.  Also attend to this celebration Mr. Utut Adianto, vice-speaker of Parliament, and Ms. Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, President of Bung Karno Fondation and daughter of Acmehd Sukarno, first Indonesian President.

Miguel Mario Díaz Canel Bermúdez , president of the Council of State and Council of Ministers of Republic of Cuba, conveyed his condolences to the people and government of Indonesia for the human and material damages caused by the tsunami that hit the Sunda Strait, between the islands of Java and Sumatra.

The Cuban leader also expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and affected people in his message addressed to Jokowi Widodo, president of Republic of Indonesia.

With the screening of the feature film "El Benny" concluded today the celebration of the Cuban Film Exibition Jakarta 2018, Cuban Revolution: 60 years of action without cut! organized by the Embassy of the Island in greeting to the National Culture Day and the 60th Anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, in cooperation with the cultural organization [ESAS] Empu Sendok Arts Station.

The Embassy of Cuba celebrated today the National Culture Day coinciding with the closing of the Jakarta Cuban Cinema Exhibition 2018, Cuban Revolution: 60 years of action without cut! that took place during the last 5 days in this capital, in collaboration with the cultural organization [ESAS] Empu Sendok Arts Station. Present at the ceremony were members of the Diplomatic Corps, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, friends of the Embassy and representatives of the press that covered the celebration.

Indonesia, May 23, 2017. A delegation from the Parliamentary Friendship Group Indonesia-Cuba led by the Group's Coordinator, Daryatmo Mardiyanto, will visit Havana from May 22 to 26, during which they will exchange with his counterparts from the National Assembly of People's Power and officials of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, among other institutions. The delegation will also visit centers of interest.

Indonesia, March 23, 2017. Cuban Ambassador Nirsia Castro Guevara delivered to the President of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Dr. H. Abdul Kharis Almasyhari, a document containing the official position of Cuba in defense of the Peace and nuclear disarmament, and explains the actions the country is taking to eliminate the threat posed by military weapons of this type. Dr. Khairis, for his part, pointed out the coincidence in the positions of the two countries in favor of peace and disarmament.

The embassies of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Cuba respectively paid tribute to the Commander of the Bolivarian Revolution Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías on the occasion of the 4th Anniversary of his passing away last 5th of March and to the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz, who passed away on November 25th, 2016.
