The All India Peace and Solidarity Organization (APISO) demanded the removal of Cuba from the spurious and unilateral list of state sponsors of terrorism, during a meeting held in the city of Indore, Madhya Padresh state, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Garrisons. The meeting was headed by its General Secretary, Arun Kumar; as well as other leaders of this organization, member of the National Committee of Solidarity with Cuba in India.
Arun Kumar qualified as false to accuse Cuba of promoting terrorism, in view of the infinite solidarity shown by the Cuban people during the confrontation of the COVID-19 pandemic and other natural catastrophes in several countries of the world, as well as the hundreds of assassination attempts made against the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro. He also referred to the consequences for the island of being part of this list, especially in the economic sector, and its impact on the Cuban people.
Other AIPSO leaders from Madhya Pradesh highlighted the transcendence of the events of July 26 and the achievements of the Cuban Revolution in these more than 60 years.
At the end of the meeting, they urged other organizations and friends around the world to join the just demand that Cuba be removed from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.
