Aleida Guevara traveled to Beirut in solidarity with Al Mayadeen
Cuban internationalist activist Aleida Guevara March arrived in Beirut to express her solidarity with the Al Mayadeen news network and to participate in the posthumous tribute to the martyrs of the news network, correspondent Farah Omar and cameraman Rabih Maamari, as well as collaborator Hussein Aquil, killed by the Israeli army during a coverage in southern Lebanon.
Aleida Guevara March was received at Rafic Hariri International Airport by Ghassan Ben Jeddou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Mayadeen news network, and Ambassador Jorge León Cruz, as well as the channel's Latin America Director, Wafica Mehdi, and Prensa Latina's correspondents in Beirut, Yodeni Masó and Leslie Alonso.
Government authorities, political leaders, media, trade unions and personalities in Lebanon, the region and the world, including Prensa Latina and the Union of Cuban Journalists, have expressed their solidarity with Al Mayedeen.
