Cuba participates in India's Tourism Fair

Cuba is participating for the first time in the India Tourism Fair, the largest of its kind in the Asian region, which takes place from February 8 to 10 in the city of Mumbai, in the state of Maharastra. This event hosts more than 600 exhibitors from almost 70 countries every year.

Cuba has a 50-square-meter stand and its main objective is to promote Cuba as a destination in the Indian market.

The Cuban delegation is made up of Elizabeth Cristina Vela, Tourism Counselor for the Asia-Pacific region; Abel Aballe Despaigne, Chargé d'Affaires of the Cuban Embassy in India, as well as representatives of Cuban travel agencies Havanatur and Cubatur.

During the three days, the Única campaign will be presented and alliances will be sought with Indian tour operators, advertising agencies and airlines for the promotion and marketing of Cuba as a destination, in addition to encouraging the presence of Indian companies in FitCuba 2024.

At the same time, investments by Indian companies in the island will be encouraged as part of the positive experience with the MGM Muthu group, which currently manages several hotels in Cuba.
The Fair is a great space to learn about the characteristics of the Indian market in order to develop services adapted to it.

In recent months, the number of visits by Indian travelers for tourism purposes has increased, so the Fair will contribute to achieve greater momentum.
