Juba, March 20, 2024. Ambassador Jorge Fernando Lefebre Nicolás, in a solemn ceremony, presented to His Excellency Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in that country.
In an exchange that took place in a cordial and fraternal manner, within the framework of the protocol for these purposes, both interlocutors highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations and expressed their hope for their strengthening.
The Cuban diplomat thanked the South Sudanese President on behalf of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, for the support provided by South Sudan each year to the resolution at the United Nations against the U.S. blockade of Cuba.
