The solidarity association "Toronto Forum on Cuba" celebrated the 71st Anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks. The activity was attended by members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto, members of the Palestinian Youth Movement and groups in solidarity with Cuba and Palestine.
The activity included artistic presentations in support of the Cuban Revolution and the Palestinian people. The performance of saxophonist, musician and composer Wally Brooker was a highlight.
Consul Tania Valenzuela thanked for the invitation, recalled the importance of the July 26 actions for Cuba, condemned the intensification of the blockade, denounced the inclusion of Cuba on the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism and reiterated support for the Palestinian cause.
