Addis Ababa, September 18, 2024.- Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba in Ethiopia, Natalys Dinza said goodbye in the early hours of this morning to Dr. Emmanuel Yowke Elia, the first of 5 doctors from the Republic of South Sudan who were benefited by the Cuban Government of places for specialty studies.
The specialization of these five South Sudanese doctors responds to a project carried out in South Sudan by doctors graduated in Cuba to bring free health care to disadvantaged communities.
Among the specialties they will study are urology, internal medicine, obstetrics-gynecology, orthopedics-traumatology and intensive care.
The concurrent Embassy of Cuba in the Republic of South Sudan is in charge of the consular services necessary for the incorporation of South Sudanese doctors into the study cycle.
