Nassau, February 23, 2025. Once again from the Bahamas, voices of solidarity were raised in condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba and rejection of the attack of the new United States government against the Cuban people.
From the middle of 2021 until today, every last Sunday of the month, fellow citizens, with solidarity friends and graduates in Cuba gather in a caravan to join the world demand until the sanctions are lifted.
The caravan travels through several streets of Nassau and culminates in a rally in a public squares to denounce the Genocidal Blockade that the United States government has imposed on the Cuban people for more than six decades and the inclusion in spurious list of states that sponsor terrorism.
Multiple initiatives have been conceived to represent with flags, posters, pullovers and statements the world's repudiation of this criminal policy.
This Sunday, Cuban educators from Freeport, Grand Bahama, another of the Bahamian islands, joined the claim.
The occasion was also a framework to remember the Grito de Baire, the 130th anniversary of the restart of the wars for independence, and the conviction of Cubans and friends to continue defending the sovereignty of Cuba.
