From June 20 to 22, the 14th edition of the Cubaneando International Festival took place in the city of Montreal in an atmosphere of joy and celebration of our roots. At the opening ceremony, Consul Angel Torres spoke with Josué Corvil, City Councilor for the Saint-Michel district, and they agreed that the Festival is a showcase for celebrating our identities.
As summer begins in the province of Quebec, Cuban culture is celebrated. For three days, Cuban entrepreneurs, chefs, and artists brought a little piece of our country to everyone in attendance. Artists representing Peru, El Salvador, Panama, Colombia, Congo, and Mexico also participated. Dance and percussion workshops took place, as well as children's shows.
This Festival helps strengthen ties between the Cuban, Caribbean, and Latin American communities and is a great place for people of all ages to have fun.
