Liberian students pay tribute to Fidel Castro, the Cuban Revolution, and its impact on international relations.

Young students from Cuttington University in Liberia invited the Cuban Ambassador, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, to a talk on the impact of the ideas of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Dr. Fidel Castro Ruz, on current international relations.

Those present noted that 2025 marks the centenary of the rise of Pan-Africanism, with figures such as Patrice Lumumba and Frantz Fanon, among other African founding fathers, who shared the same conception as the Cuban leader, as well as his vision of African sovereignty, independence, and self-determination. Therefore, remembering them is an essential impetus for the necessary and ongoing transformation of the continent.

The Ambassador also shared with them the many problems caused by the unjust and cruel US blockade against young Cubans, who understand that only by advancing on the path of innovation and science will the Cuban people defeat imperialist aggression.
