The President of the Lebanese-Cuban Friendship Association sent Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz a message expressing sincere condolences to the families of the Cuban combatants who fell in a criminal terrorist act by the US in Venezuela:
To His Excellency the Ambassador of Cuba, Comrade Jorge León:
We express our solidarity and join in the grief of the families of the Cuban combatants and the kind Cuban people. We also express our gratitude to these heroes who faced the brutal US imperialist military aggression against Venezuela, a sovereign and independent state, in flagrant violation of international principles and laws.
We value the internationalism of the Cuban Revolution and its people, and we renew our salute to its historic leader and his comrades who continue on his path.
Comandante Fidel is present, even though he is physically absent.
