Addis Ababa, January 8, 2026.- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the African Union, Lucas Domingo Hernández Polledo, held a cordial meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and to the African Union, Miguel Ntutumu Evuna Andeme.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on the excellent state of bilateral relations and agreed on the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation and political dialogue within the framework of the African Union, as well as in other multilateral forums of mutual interest.
The Cuban Ambassador reiterated Cuba’s commitment to strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation with African countries and expressed appreciation for the traditional support received in international forums. For his part, Ambassador Andeme highlighted the historic ties that unite both nations and expressed the willingness to continue working in a coordinated manner on issues of mutual interest.
