Embassy of Cuba in India paid tribute to Jose Martí on his 173 Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, January 28th, 2026- On the occasion of the 173rd Birth Anniversary of our National Hero, José Martí, the Cuban Embassy in India hosted a tribute became an event of solidarity with Cuba.

With the presence of CPI-M General Secretaries, M. A. Baby; from All India Forward Block, G. Devarajan; President of the World Peace Council, Pallab Sen Gupta; members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Delhi; as well as representatives of various social movements, young people, peasants and women; the Martian ideals and the legacy of our Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro, were a guiding thread to reiterate the support for Cuba by the various political forces and organizations represented.

In his words, the Cuban Ambassador to India, Juan Carlos Marsán Aguilera, highlighted the unwavering conviction of the Cuban people to defend the Revolution and the value of the unity of the people as the greatest legacy of the revolutionary leader, Fidel Castro, just in the year of his Centenary.
