Addis Ababa, March 12, 2026.- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Ethiopia and concurrently accredited to the Republic of South Sudan, Meylin Suarez Alvarez, along with the Ambassador of Cuba to the African Union, Lucas Domingo Hernandez, paid a courtesy visit to the new Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan to Ethiopia and the African Union, Mr. Baak Valentino Wol.
During the cordial meeting, the diplomats discussed current regional issues and the role of the African Union in promoting peace, stability, and development on the continent. They also addressed opportunities to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and South Sudan, as well as dialogue and coordination within the framework of African multilateral forums.
Cuba and South Sudan maintain relations based on solidarity, respect and cooperation, values that continue to guide diplomatic work between both nations.
