Kuwait, April 23: The Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs of the State of Kuwait, His Excellency Dr. Tareq Al-Jalahma, received the Cuban Ambassador, Alain Pérez Torres. During the fruitful meeting, both agreed on the existing opportunities for cooperation in the field of sports.
The Cuban diplomat conveyed his country’s willingness to establish cooperation mechanisms that contribute to the growth and development of sports and physical culture on both sides. He also explained the progress and achievements made in this area in Cuba, which is the Latin American country with the most Olympic gold medals.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Tareq expressed Kuwait’s willingness to explore these opportunities for cooperation. He added that cooperation could also include the exchange of technical and scientific knowledge.
Finally, both agreed on the importance of concluding negotiations on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the sports authorities of both countries to promote sports collaboration for the benefit of both peoples.
