Lebanese-Cuban Friendship Association Condemns U.S. Threats Against Cuba

Statement by the Lebanese-Cuban Friendship Association

Solidarity with Cuba and Condemnation of U.S. Threats

The Lebanese-Cuban Friendship Association considers the threats from the United States to be an aggressive and dangerous act against a sovereign and independent state that defends peace and respect for the rights and interests of peoples and other nations.

Targeting the Island of Liberty—a symbol of national and social resurgence in the Americas—is nothing but a strategy directed against the peoples and their aspiration for freedom.

The accusations leveled against the historic leader Raúl Castro, in addition to the ongoing economic, commercial, and financial blockade against Cuba, represent an aggressive stance against the peoples and the sovereignty of their nations.

It is well known that the approach of aggression and war pursued by U.S. imperialism carries serious implications for stability and peace in Latin America and the world.

The Lebanese-Cuban Friendship Association condemns the threats made by the United States against Cuba and reaffirms its full solidarity with the Cuban people.

The Association demands an end to these U.S. threats against Cuba and calls for the lifting of the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed on the Cuban people, who have steadfastly demonstrated their commitment to following the path they have chosen.
