The Ambassador of Cuba to Liberia, H.E. Dr. Indira López Argüelles, held an exchange with Mr. Francis K. D. Cooper, Head of the Press Office of the Ombudsman of Liberia.
During the meeting, the Ambassador provided an update on the situation in Cuba, with emphasis on the effects of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade, the country’s energy situation, and Cuba’s concerns regarding current international tensions and threats of war. She also presented the report on the blockade.
The exchange addressed opportunities for institutional cooperation and communication. Mr. Cooper expressed interest in strengthening ties with his Cuban counterparts and promoting future exchanges of experiences.
The Ambassador welcomed this willingness and underscored the importance of continuing to expand dialogue between institutions of both countries.
