Kcho and "The Thinker" prestige Cuba in art exhibition in Austria

The outstanding artist Alexis Leyva Machado (Kcho) has impressed the public and the specialized critics, with the presentation of his work "The Thinker", within the international art exhibition "Höchenrausch- The Other Shore", inaugurated in the Cultural Center of Linz, with the presence of the Governor of the Upper Austria Region, Thomas Stelzer; the Mayor of the city, Klaus Luger and the Ambassador of Cuba in Austria, Juan Antoo Fernández Palacios.

The exhibition, open from May 24 to October 14, 2018; It has works by 40 artists from different countries and the host city, motivated by the element "water", from different perspectives and artistic visual and sound modalities. Her curators Elisabeth Schweeger and Genoveba Rückert and the Exhibition Director, Martin Sturm, were very satisfied with the exhibition in general and in particular with the presence of the work and the Cuban artist.

The exhibition "Höchenrausch" is part of the "DonauArt", a cultural project in which various artistic institutions take possession of the area and subject of the Danube. It began in 2009 and has seven editions, each with a different theme. It has become a strong attraction for more than a million visitors who seek to appreciate good contemporary art, mixed with wide open spaces and the beautiful architecture of the city of Linz.

In addition to "The Thinker", composed of poliespuma, oars, life-saving cameras and other varied objects; the exhibition exhibits the "Flying Boat" of the Russian artist Alexander Ponomarev; a "Multiespacio", by the Austrian Andreas Strauss; among other important works.

For Austria and for the world, the Cuban giant "Thinker" and its creator, show their friendly faces, representatives of their Island, their sea and their community projects.
