Leaders of the Liberian "Unity Party" recognize the blockade meaning for Cuban cooperation.

Monrovia, October 11th, 2018-, "The "embargo" of the United States affects not only Cuba but other countries. One can imagine how much the Cuban government could do for the benefit of other nations if there was no "embargo". This was how the National President of the Unity party, Mr. Wilmot Paye, expressed himself during a courtesy visit he made to the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia on Thursday morning. Accompanied by the National Secretary General of his organization, Mr. Miller Catakaw, Mr. Paye was received by the Cuban Chargé d'Affaires Yordenis Despaigne Vera and the Second Secretary Carmen Maury Toledo.

During the cordial meeting, the visitors received first-hand information on the main processes that directly involve the Greater Cuba Antilles, such as the Constitutional Reform and the International Campaign of Solidarity #UnBlockCuba. The Cuban diplomat summarized the economic, financial and commercial consequences of the blockade, emphasizing its impact on the implementation and expansion of Cuban collaboration in the world. At the same time, he exemplified the achievements of the Cuban Revolution on several key areas and its important contribution to the development of Third World countries, especially Africa, in areas such as health, education, agriculture, sports, among others.

"There are things to learn from Cuba, because despite the" embargo "imposed by a superpower, they have managed to remain united and develop the thinking of their people." With this affirmation, the party leader acknowledged the achievements of the Caribbean island, while wished to continue strengthening the historic ties that links Cuba and Liberia.
