Toronto, October 15th.- Opening the celebrations of the month of the Hispanic Heritage in Mississauga (GTA), the Living Arts hosted a cultural event that exhibited a large sample of Latin American culture. The program showed dance, culinary, plastic and craft art of Latin American communities settled in Canada.
At the beginning of the evening, the Cuban dancer Dreyser García, who runs a dance school of Cuban rhythms, delighted the audience with a dance show of Afro-Cuban rhythms, salsa and conga, which was warmly welcomed by the audience.
For a wonderful closing, the public enjoyed the special presentation of the Latin Grammy’s 2018 nominee Alexander Abreu and Havana D'Primera. The band brought everyone to dancing and singing for about two hours, thanks to the magic of Abreu’s trumpet, the power of the ensemble and the invitation to the stage of Waldo Mendoza, along a wonderful show that closed with an emotional "ME DICEN CUBA".
Present at the ceremony was Minister Pablo Rodríguez, who, in consonance with his Latin American roots, is in charge of the Canadian Heritage in the Federal Government. The staff of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto also attended the event.
