Toronto, October 21st, 2018. On Saturday October 20, at the headquarters of "La Casa del Habano" was celebrated the day of Cuban Culture, in an event organized by the Association of Cubans "Juan Gualberto Gómez".
In his remarks to the attendees, Julio Fonseca, President of the Association and the Consul General of Cuba in Toronto, Tania López Larroque, highlighted the main milestones that mark the date, while emphasizing that Cuban culture and identity have remained unwavering, with the contribution that represents the perseverance of Cubans inside and outside of Cuba, in keeping them alive.
Cuban artists living in this city delighted the participants with a sample of folkloric and popular rhythms. Meanwhile, Casa del Habano entertained attendees with criollo mojitos.
The event closed at the top with a “casino wheel”, which helped to shake the cold temperatures.
