The Embassy of Cuba in Austria provides more information to compatriots, solidary friends and businessmen who have expressed their readiness to send donations to the affected families, following the devastating tornado which hit Havana last Sunday, 27 January.

About the delivery of donations of material resources from abroad:
• The donor must assume the costs and charges for all transportation.
• The Cuban authorities are in charge of organizing the arrival, the entrance without paying tariffs and the distribution, to which it is necessary to carry out the corresponding arrangements beforehand.
• The proposal to deliver a material donation must include the donor´s information, details of the cargo, quantities of products, as well as the route for the shipment (air or sea).

• The products in the shortest supply are: roof covering materials, tanks to store some water; equipments for handling waste and debris. Other donations will also be considered.
• In the case of medicaments, as in any part of the world, precise information such as: expiration date/laboratory and country which produces them, batch, type of container, is required.
• In the case of material donations in the national territory, Havana´s Provincial Administration Council (CAP, by its Spanish initials), has enabled the warehouse located at Ciudad Escolar Libertad, former school Pinos Nuevos, from 9:00 to 16:00 hours.
