Cuban Ambassador tours Nahr al Bared Palestinian refugees camp

Cuban Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, visited the Nahr al-Bared Refugee Camp accompanied by Democratic Front Political Bureau Member, Arkan Badr, where they inspected the reconstruction works underway in the old part of the Camp and checked on a number of temporary housing communities to assess the living conditions of Palestinian families.

Pellicer Moraga was briefed on the needs of the Camp's residents, praising their strong patience, endurance and determination to complete the reconstruction phase to ensure a decent living for their families. He stressed "the need to provide the necessary funds to rebuild the Camp in its old and new parts, and to compensate families and traders and respond to their rightful demands to hospitalization, relief aids and rent allowance."

"Cuba will remain, with Palestinian people, in support of your just struggle against occupation and the deal of the century, and an advocate of your right to determine your fate in returning to your homeland and establishing an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital," Ambassador Murda assured.
