The intense working program carried out in Austria by the delegation headed by Dr. Oscar Manuel Silvera Martínez, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Cuba, concluded with a meeting with a large audience at the headquarters of "ÖKG", the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association, in which the Minister delivered a presentation on the recent process of Constitutional Reform in Cuba.
During the event, the Cuban Minister referred to the different stages of the process, highlighting the broad and democratic popular consultation to which the draft Constitution was submitted; the outcomes of the 24 February referendum; the content of the new Constitution; and the process of updating laws and regulations which must be carried out in Cuba, as a consequence.
At the event, the attendees asked the Minister questions and ratified their solidarity with the Cuban Revolution, it was an act of support to Cuba. The Minister thanked the Board of Directors and ÖKG´s members for their unconditional support to Cuba during its 50 years of foundation.
Besides, the members of the Cuban delegation: Dr. Lilia María Hernández Doejo and Dr. Antonio Israel Ybarra Suárez; First Deputy Minister and the Director of International Relations of the Ministry of Justice, respectively; as well as the Cuban Ambassador to Austria, His Excellency Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, along with other officials of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission, participated in the meeting.
