Beirut April 15, 2019. The Minister of Health of Lebanon, Jamil Jabaq, received today the Ambassador of Cuba, Alexander Pellicer Moraga at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health of the Lebanese Republic.
The two officials analyzed the possibilities of establishing mechanisms of cooperation in the health sector and in the production of medicines. The possibility of exchanging experiences between professionals from both nations was also analyzed.
The Cuban representative made a broad explanation about the health system in Cuba and about the high development reached by the island in the field of biotechnology and vaccine production, and stressed that the Cuban experience could be of interest to the Ministry of Health of Lebanon in its objective of improving the health system in the country.
For his part, Minister Jabaq acknowledged the achievements of Cuba in the field of health and its solidarity with third world countries, while ratifying the interest in establishing collaboration mechanisms that could be beneficial for both nations. (Embacuba Líbano)
