Strong Rejection of New Slanderous Campaign by the State Department

Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Cuba rejects, in the strongest terms, the report published on July 20 by the United States Department of State, concerning Cuba's alleged subversive influence against that country. The GAE is not an opaque entity, nor is it parallel to the Cuban State; on the contrary, it has been a coordinated response of proven effectiveness against the economic blockade that has historically sought to suffocate the Cuban Revolution

The U.S. government has once again acted with premeditated intent in its eagerness to fabricate pretexts to discredit the Cuban Revolution, its historic leadership, and its leaders, thereby confusing both our people and international public opinion.
