Lebanon-Cuba Friendship Association condemns the inclusion of Cuba in the list of sponsors of terrorism

Beirut, January 12, 2021. The Lebanon-Cuba Friendship Association today condemned the decision of the United States government to include the Caribbean nation on the list of sponsors of terrorism.

In a statement sent to Prensa Latina through diplomatic channels, the solidarity entity believes that the mandate of Donald Trump adds this hostile and extremist decision to his legacy.

Before leaving the White House, the US president takes another action against the Cuban people that adds to a six-decade economic blockade hardened by Trump throughout his four years of presidency, the note says.

"We are aware, adds the text, that Cuba sends doctors on humanitarian missions to combat epidemics and diseases and grants university scholarships to students from Third World nations."

It neither carries out acts nor exerts pressure or interventions against others nor does it send warships, the communication points out, as Washington now does to our Middle East to support the Zionist enemy. (Embacuba Líbano/Prensa Latina)
