Addis Ababa, July 21, 2021. The Ambassador of Cuba, Vilma Thomas Ramírez, gave an interview to journalist Yohannes Wondafrash from the Ethiopian radio station AfroFM 105.3.
The dialogue made it possible to discuss relevant issues and events in both countries such as the recent commemoration of the 46th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Ethiopia; the media campaign against Cuba encouraged by the United States and the attempts to interfere, from that country, in the internal affairs of the largest of the Antilles. Another issue addressed was also the development of Cuban vaccines against COVID-19 and the impact of this important contribution of Cuban science to face the pandemic in Cuba and the world, especially for the poorest countries on the planet.
The interview will be broadcast next Monday, July 26th at 5 pm (Ethiopia time) during the program "The Diplomat's Corner" of the mentioned radio station.
