Three new scholarships for Barbadian youth to study medicine in Cuba

Three barbadian young girls, Cliff-Ann Roach, Sally Sade Lewis and Jodie Kerri-Ann Best, successfully completed the selection process and traveled to Cuba to join the new school year at the Latin American School and Caribbean Medicine (ELAM). Submitted to the Consulate by the Director of the Unit for Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Dr. Patrick Rowe, the students signed the Code of Ethics for their six years stay at ELAM in Havana and were dismissed by the Cuban Consul, Ana Labaut de Dios, including her exhortation for them to make every effort to return as graduates for serving the people who need it most in their country, Barbados.
